Yesterday, I finally got to fly. One more day and it would have been 2 weeks between flights. The actual flight didn’t go that well. I made 8 or so landings and only 2 or 3 were any good. It was really frustrating. I skipped a landing (picture a skipping stone), Ballooned a landing and then had a few that were just technically off. In the traffic pattern, I think that if it was possible to do it wrong, I did it at least once. All in all, I still had fun though. My instructor said that everyone has a few days like mine during training. I’m not really sure what happened, but maybe I was too consumed with the weather conditions. There was a lot of haze, which was making visibility a little difficult and the clouds were really low. The airport was very busy, which could have had an effect also. Anyway, I was able to correct for all the incorrect things I did, so it wasn’t all bad. If I was going for my license yesterday, I would have failed miserably though. Oh well, practice, practice, practice.
