The busyness that is life

There are too many things to do today! Actually, I have too many things to do in general and they all will not be done today. Last Wednesday night, we got the remainder of our things from Becki and Rich’s house, so now everything is stacked in the basement. Things need to be rearranged. Maybe that will happen this weekend, who knows. Speaking of the basement, the pipes need to be insulated. This has been on my list of things to do for a while now, I just haven’t found time to do it yet. Oh yeah, more grass needs to be planted in the back and side yard. Another thing that I haven’t found time to do yet. Speaking of grass, it needs to be mowed! Argh! The final thing that I can think of off the top of my head is that I have to get insulation and hang drywall in the garage.

On another note, I have a flying lesson today after work and I forgot my tennis shoes. Why do I need tennis shoes you ask? Well, when flying a plane, the rudder is controlled with both feet and so is the brake. The brake and the rudder controls are all on the same peddle. Using my dress shoes is next to impossible because you can’t feel the brake part of the peddle. I am lucky because Melinda said that she would meet me at the airport to give me my shoes. Geez, that lady is nice! I am sure glad that she is my wife.
This just in: the kid’s computer is broken again!!!! Add that one to the list of things to do. Mat decided that he should login on Melinda’s computer in the mean time. This is not good. The kids computer is the only one that is ever broken. It isn’t because it isn’t good mind you, it is how they use it, so the last thing I want is them to use Melinda’s computer because that will just create more work for me when her PC breaks. Her computer is the most important one in the house since she uses it for her business. I can blow off fixing the kid’s computer for a day or two, but not Melinda’s, so it is just better that the kids with the golden touch stay away from it. Maybe the best thing to do is to give them a quick computer class and tell them how to fix common problems and then let them know what not to do. Note to the kids: reboots solve many problems. Anyway, after my flying lesson, I will fix their computer and they don’t know it yet, but I am going to move a printer from upstairs to the basement, so they will have a printer near by. They will be happy about that.

By the way, also on my list is to update the MacLachlan Family website. I figured I better add this to the list because I know that there would be numerous comments about it.
